She yells “cut the head off!!”
This is our meat for the night,
Cutting heads, cleaning the intestines and removing the feathers off our meat,
We fry the intestines and gizzards on grandma’s old pan,
Grandma cooks the rest on her gas stove,
She cooks uphuthu nemfino,
The smell of oil and curry fills the kitchen!
It feels good to be home
PS: I am sorry if the picture offends you, receive my apology. I ain’t sorry I am writing this though!!!
If today was your last day here,
Imagine how different you would live…
Why not start now?
Once upon a time….
There was a human,
He decided to become a being.
His soul returned,
His compassion returned,
His selflessness returned
He was awakened,
He became a human being!
And he lived happily ever in the present!
Legend has it,
There is more than one sun…
There’s infinite number of suns!
I was late for work this morning but I had to stop and take this shot! I have become a bit obsessed with the sun, I just love it. I think it’s largely to do with my current evolution. I feel like I am exiting a phase, as if everything I have learnt and versions I have been were leading me here. Similar to the sunrise as it bids farewell to the moon… Odd,,, ever had a similar feeling?
Allow yourself to outgrow old versions of yourself
It’s ok to change who you are as many times as your will allows,
Stop apologizing for who you are
Stop apologizing for evolving at a faster pace, than they can put up with
Stop apologizing for your growth
Stop apologizing for your change.
In a place
Of no otherness
In the sweet sounds of the doves
In the whisper of the wind
In the breaking of the leaves
The vast sky
Doubt is here
Faith is here
God is here
All is well
Shall be well
I did this completely useless and pointless doodle for fun and to remind myself that it’s completely ok to do silly stuff sometimes. Just like I used to when I was a kid.
Lines cross where they shouldn’t
The colors don’t match
Granted, I am no Picasso!
The whole thing is silly,
But it’s mine!
I love it!
It reminds me that,
Life is simple and beautiful!
It’s imperfectly perfect!
You say you love me
I love you too
You say you will never hurt me
Neither will I
You say you are mine
I will take that
You show me you love me
I will take that
Loving someone doesn’t mean they love you back or will love you the way you want to be shown love. Some people will stay and eat at the table as long as food is offered, not because they intend to stay. It’s the responsibility of the cook to determine the intentions of the diner and decide whether to serve them or not. One wouldn’t want to serve a roast lamb to a vegetarian, that would be a waste wouldn’t it?
I have found this to be true in relationships. So I have decided to be celibate . I will dine alone for a while, explore my tastes and enjoy my own food. It’s tempting to invite others to stay but I’ve found some diners have no intentions of staying for the conversations and helping with dishes or a glass of wine. As long the food is offered they will eat it. Since I want to share my food not just a taster, I will be celibate.
