Drowning

I am drowning,

Please don’t help me!

As the storm engulfs me,

Don’t help me!

This maze is mine to walk.

This wave is mine too ride,

Just be here,

Please don’t help!

As choices push me further and further into the corner,

As roads become narrower and dangerous,

As the hole keeps on swallowing me,

Just observe,

Don’t help me!

If truly one can never outrun Gods love and purpose, let him show it!

Only he can show me!

Only he can help me!

The one who knows his plans for me!

His great plans!

You just watch,

Please don’t help!

You wouldn’t even know where to start!

Observe the unfolding of his master plan,

Pharaoh or Moses,

It’s all his great plan.!

As I be still

Autumn Mornings

The beautiful trees were willingly shedding their clothing, to be nude in the cold.

This was deliberate and necessary for the test,

A test on patience,

A test on surrender,

A test on strength,

A test on acceptable,

A test on trust,

A test on living…../

The trees undressed knowing the one responsible for living and death has got them. They know no matter how battered they are by the cold, it’s alright; they will either live or die. Whatever the outcome, the soul of the world knows it was there.

It was shade, it was oxygen, it was beauty, it was a landmark and most of all, it was the universe coming to life!

Conversations with the mind

What do you do when you mind won’t be still?

Telling your heart to race at 1000km/hr,

Telling your pores to release all the fluids you have taken,

Telling your hands to dance to the speed of sound,

What happens when stillness eludes you?

You surrender!

No labels!

No resisting!

Just surrender

rachel

Ungentle reminders..

Worrying is not a verb!

Worrying is fear!

Worry is stuck!

Worry is paralysis!

Worry is the absence of God!

Surrender!

Surrender to what is!

Surrender to the moment!

Surrender!

You are here,

There is a lesson here,

There is purpose here!

Surrender!

Feed your fear compassion.

Feed your worry compassion.

Feed your paralysis compassion.

You belong here!

You belong to God!

You belong to yourself!

Create your reality through surrender!

Dear Anxiety, my old friend

It has been a while,

But like the rain, I knew you would come…

So let’s talk…

What’s troubling you?

You are uncertain, uncomfortable and not in control…

That’s normal.

If you could do anything different , what would you do?

Be in control!

That’s nice but I can’t offer you that.

What can you offer?

I can offer compassion and acknowledgment,

I can sit with you, like tonight.

I cannot offer you my whole life though,

You can steal small parts of it though,

Very small parts,

You can visit, briefly.

I promise to ease your discomfort, I will let you go!!

Breath by breath….

In…..

Out….

In…

Out…

Till we meet again old friend……

Gentle Reminders: Surrender

It’s ok to hold on,

To persevere,

To hope it doesn’t end.

When you are tired though,

Surrender!

Surrender!

There’s a power higher than us,

He knows what he is doing!

Trust his timing,

Trust the flow,

All your needs will be provided for!!!

You are right where you should be!

You belong here!

Surrender!

Surrender!

Letting go of old self….

I looked at myself in the mirror this morning,

I looked at photos of old self,

All beautiful,

All sexy,

All woman!

I decided to say goodbye to my old self,

I lit a candle for my old self,

I had conversations with old self,

I told her goodbye my love,

It’s been good knowing you my friend,

I have to let you go now!

I need space for the new,

New!

Not old self,

Not familiar self,

New self,

You will always be part of me!

I love you and always will!
